I have to catch up with the Blogiversary Giveaway Week(...s) - there are two more scheduled for tomorrow morning and Monday. Today, I got for you the most recent issue of Burda Style Magazine (November 2011) and two other bonus publications featuring holiday crafts and shirt construction techniques.
I got two issues of November Burda, so one is for you! Check out the styles at Osinka.ru - it's a Russian Sewing forum, but you don't need to know the language to browse through thumbnails!
The giveaway is open to all followers, readers, friends, likers etc... Leave your comment under this post telling others about your blog, or ( if you did it in previous posts) about the most recent post on your blog. If you don't have a blog promote one of your favorite ones. At the end of the giveaway I will compile a post with blog addresses and descriptions. For this giveaway, the last day to comment is Wednesday, November 9. Sounds good?
For other ongoing geveaways, check out these two posts:
Giveaway 1: Project Runway Wrist Pincushion
Giveaway 2: Claire Shaeffer Custom Couture Pattern V8621
Oh, and stay tuned to the Revival of Gadgetmania: Reviews of Tool essential for couture sewing. I am planning changes to the format! Starting tonight ;-)

I haven't updated in a long time (moved and no time to sew! :( ) but here it is:

My latest post on my blog (www.suzysewing.blogspot.com) is about knitting! Sewing is my primary passion but I just love the knitwear from 40s and 50s and gutted I cannot buy RTW knitwear like that. So, I'm also knitting (albeit progress is waaay much slower than sewing.).
ReplyDeleteMy latest post on my blog (www.pendlestitches.wordpress.com)is about my husbands love of tarte au citron. I blog about my life in a Lancashire town, and my craft pursuits which involve knitting, dressmaking, quilting and embroidery although at the moment I'm concentrating on making Christmas gifts.
ReplyDeleteHi girls , www.houseofpinheiro.blogspot.com is my blog... Sewing , crafting...baking.. Hope you enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI kind of have a blog (http://laughplaylearnlove.wordpress.com/), but I never update because I'm too busy being a mom to a very active 1-year-old.....So there is really nothing there, other than an apology for not having written anything, haha.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy Gertie's blog, http://www.blogforbettersewing.com/
She shares couture techniques too sometimes, and a lot of vintage-inspired clothes.
Hi Marina - I just realized that I passed my first blogging anniversary, and I'm trying to think of something to do....I have loads of patterns that I'll never use, so perhaps I should offer some up to readers. Hmmm...good idea.

Started a blog (www.handsewnandhomegrown.blogspot.com) as my electronic diary - sewing and gardening. I have learnt so much from other blogs and have met such lovely people- who are very generous in giving their time and knowledge. I love to sew for my daughter and myself, and my list is growing. Enjoy knitting, cooking and travelling. I live in Melbourne, Australia and work part-time at Tessuti fabrics - yes I'm a fabricaholic. Happily married and with 2 teenages at Uni that keeps me busy - very blessed!
ReplyDeleteHello everyone :) Greetings!
ReplyDelete1stly, happy blogiversary Marina! I just started a blog (http://farsland.blogspot.com) last month hoping to document my sewing projects. I'm very new to garment sewing and machine sewing, so I'm learning as I go. I love thrifting, something I discovered when I first move to the US, and I am practicing my sewing by refashioning my thrifty finds as well as my old clothes. :) Come over and say hello, I'd love to "meet" new friends :)
Wow! This is a great way to get me to update my blog and post more often. I'm at riange.blogspot.com and I'm trying to post updates more often. But sometimes life gets in the way and before you know it, two weeks has gone by. LOL
ReplyDeleteHello! I've been crushing on this and been waiting for it to come out! My blog is www.amber-elayne.blogspot.com but I haven't done much of late so I'll nominate one of my faves, House of Pinheiro! She's very cool!
ReplyDeleteI just made over a hallway entrance in my house and am blogging about it this week over at http://etcetorize.blogspot.com ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Anniversary!
Happy blogiversary! I really enjoy sewing my clothes but I don´t habe a blog. So I love the blog of Mushywear (http://mushywear.blogspot.com/). I like her style and she is one of my favourites.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea to discover other blogs!
ReplyDeleteMine is: http://getmystitchon.blogspot.com/ and I started it only a few months ago, but have been doing well posting-wise. My most recent post was about the 2 Halloween costumes I made for my girls...one pattern was good, the other WASN'T.
Happy Blogiversary!
-Meigan :)
I haven't posted to mine in forever but I'm hoping to get back to it soon as the sewing bug is hitting again: Sewing By Crystal. I need to post pics of the vampire cape I made my son for Halloween and my Wizard's hat. I'm much better at reading sewing blogs than maintaining one.
ReplyDeleteI'm a book reviewer so I am more attentive to that blog at the moment.
Thanks for the giveaway!
My blog http://sewtell.wordpress.com is about my sewing adventures and misadventures. Some post are about fashion and other things sewing related.
ReplyDeleteThanks for hosting the giveaway.
I just posted to my blog about my most recent pattern purchases. The post before was about how the November issue and the December preview have finally motivated me to subscribe so I would love to actually get a copy of the November issue! My blog is seashellsew.wordpress.com.
