My latest post on my blog (www.suzysewing.blogspot.com) is about knitting! Sewing is my primary passion but I just love the knitwear from 40s and 50s and gutted I cannot buy RTW knitwear like that. So, I'm also knitting (albeit progress is waaay much slower than sewing.).

Started a blog (www.handsewnandhomegrown.blogspot.com) as my electronic diary - sewing and gardening. I have learnt so much from other blogs and have met such lovely people- who are very generous in giving their time and knowledge. I love to sew for my daughter and myself, and my list is growing. Enjoy knitting, cooking and travelling. I live in Melbourne, Australia and work part-time at Tessuti fabrics - yes I'm a fabricaholic. I'm very new to garment sewing and machine sewing, so I'm learning as I go. I love thrifting, something I discovered when I first move to the US, and I am practicing my sewing by refashioning my thrifty finds as well as my old clothes. :) Come over and say hello, I'd love to "meet" new friends :)
