Reliable Iron: the prize has arrived!

This was the fastest delivery ever, readers! Just one week after Patternreview.com officially announced that I won the Natural Fiber Contest I had the prize. Kimberly of Reliable Corporation contacted me on Monday and on Thursday the iron was delivered. Can you believe it? Here is the proof:

As you can see, I am now a proud owner of Digital Velocity V100. I haven't tested it yet, but I hope it will last longer than my Rowenta, which produces great steam but doesn't last (it's my second Rowenta in two years). Reliable claims it is a 'revolutionary home iron', ahem... Anyway, I chose it over a simpler Velocity V50, because V100 has a larger water capacity. Well, it's great to have a second iron, since the life span of home electronics is relatively short nowadays, so I am really happy to have won this.

Meanwhile, I promise I will report if this iron will perform extraordinarily well or extraordinarily bad. Thanks for making me a winner, readers! And, of course, thanks to the Reliable Corporation and to the PatternReview.com.

Now, let me ask you - what is your favorite iron? Anything you can recommend?

  1. Congratulations! I've had this iron for over a year now, and I still love it every time I use it. Loads of steam, when you want it - it's really an excellent iron - enjoy! :)

  2. Congratulations! Your dress is so beautiful.

I own the V50 - I confess the choice was partly due to the color - orange. Another factor was that the V50 is a little lighter. I can attest to the great steam production, and I love that it is temperature independent.

I did have an issue with my first one, however, Reliable's customer service was excellent. I need a second iron, so I'm considering the V100. I look forward to your review.

  4. Congratulations ^.^ I use Panasonic NI-W550-S, 360 degree. It heats super quickly, produces loads of steam, and it allows multidirectional ironing!

  5. I have a Laura Star Magic Revolution II - I love it to bits. I use a standard iron if I need to quickly iron something but then when I start ironing with the Laura Star, I can tell the difference immediately. I've had mine now for 5 years.

  9. I used a cheap one for long until I added a Rowenta Promaster to my x-mas wish list. I'm sure there are better ones but compared to my old one, wow…what a difference.
